Dear Catherine,

The purpose of this letter is to confirm your agreement with Dean Jeremy Korr of the School of Arts and
Sciences to teach six courses (18 credits) in the 2016-2017 academic year and receive reassigned time
for the remaining two courses (6 credits). Three credits of reassigned time are for major course
redesigns. The remaining three credits of reassigned time are for performing the following duties:

BASW Assessment Coordinator

Overview: Manage BASW assessment matters for both Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and
institutional purposes, in coordination with BASW Program Director.

• Maintain and share knowledge of current assessment requirements, including periodic

consultation with CSWE staff (e.g., Brandman's designated accreditation specialist).
• Manage CSWE curriculum matrices, CSWE competencies, and CSWE practice behaviors.
• Manage ongoing collection of CSWE competency achievement data.
• Continuously verify that the needed data for assessment (CSWE Assessment Measure #1) have
actually been submitted. For example, check in IPT to see if the data (supervisor evaluations)
have been submitted at the end of SOWK 495 when they are due.
• Continuously verify that signature assignment data (CSWE Assessment Measure #2) have been
submitted when due. For example, track which signature assignment courses are offered each
session and check at the end of the session to confirm that signature assignment data for those
classes have been submitted.
• Manage bi-annual submission and posting of CSWE Form AS4, in coordination with
Marketing/Webmaster staff.
• For CSWE reports, provide copies of all assessment measurement instruments.
• Manage bi-annual program assessments.
• Manage PLO and ILO curriculum mapping, and coordinate alignment with CSWE competencies
and practice behaviors.
• Manage PLO and ILO signature assignments and rubrics, and coordinate alignment with CSWE
competencies and practice behaviors.
• Coordinate with Institutional Assessment and Planning Office for program assessments as well
as PLO and ILO curriculum mapping.
• Coordinate with SAS Signature Assignment Coordinators for all signature assignments and
rubrics.
