REBOTTLED
(University of Utrecht)

In 2016, Enactus Utrecht began to

consider alternative uses for
discarded wine bottles after
discovering that empty beer bottles
can be reused up to 40 times.

The team developed a second-life

plan for wine bottles by converting
them into attractive drinking glasses.
Members of the team collaborated
with well-known restaurants to obtain
bottles, a do-it-yourself shop for
supplies and design assistance and
the Salvation Army to extend work
opportunities to clients of its work
centers.

WELCOME2WORK
(Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)

Students from the Karlsruhe Institute of

Technology believe that every refugee
should be a full member of German
society and can create his/her own
vocational future.

Welcome2Work creates a network

between refugees, society and
businesses in order to successfully
integrate refugees into the job market.

The team created an online platform

bringing companies and refugees
together which simplifies the job
application process for refugees,
while providing companies with
access to a large pool of
qualified applicants.

(University of Newfoundland)

To address food insecurities in the

North, Enactus Memorial trains
and employs at-risk young people
to build hydroponic systems
which are then used to grow fresh
produces for families and at
schools.
