1.DEFINITIONS HYDROPOWER

Hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) is one of the power plants that use
renewable energy in the form of water. One advantage of this plant is so
rapid response is very suitable for peak load conditions or during
disturbances in the network. In addition to their output power capacity
is the largest among other renewable energy, hydropower plants have
also been there since time immemorial.
2.PLANNING IN PADANG HYDROPOWER

River banda Kali has great potential for hydropower development such
as water discharge is large and heavy.

3.THEORY APPLIED HYDROPOWER BANDA KALI

 Hydropower system converts energy from flowing water into mechanical
energy and then into electrical energy normally. Water flows through
the channel (penstock) past the water wheel or turbine where the water
will hit the blades that cause the water wheel or turbine to spin. When
used to generate electricity, the turbine rotation causes the rotation of
the rotor shaft to a generator. The energy generated can be used
immediately, stored in batteries or used to improve the quality of
electricity in jaringan.Jumlah electric power can be generated at a power
plant water depending on the height (h) where the water falls and the
water flow rate.

4.BENEFITS HYDROPOWER BANDA KALI

Advantages NPP banda Kali are:

• With this theory, the electricity generated is 30MW or 300.000kwh
that can meet the electricity needs of 60% of the electrical needs of the
town padang

 The price of electricity Indonesia is Rp725 per kwh.maka revenue banda

Kali NPP is Rp800.O00.000,00 / month.
