for the spirit, mind and bods.
Aer years of battling opiate addiction, Daniel Weidle passed
way from an overdose afer he was repeatedly denied access
to the lifesaving medication used to successfully teat his ill-
nes. Daniel was a deeply loved son, father, brother, and
friend, aken too soon by a disease that can and should be
treated. Each day we lose more people like Daniel as our na-
tion struggles with the opiate epidemic
Daniels Peace was built by the Weidle Family to honor t
son's memory. The Weidle Family eontinue to work with pol-
icy makers and medical professionals to address systemic loop
holes that allow people battling the disease of addiction to be
refused life saving medical eare and treatment, They are ac-
tively working to stop the runaway train of opiate deaths that
‘devastate families across the country. Daniel was atively se
ing treatment to conquer this disease; and was having success
in overcoming his opiate addiction using a prescription me
Unfortunately, due to the stigma of addiction many medical
professionals openly refuse to treat those who seek help. We
believe this is an injustice that must be faced head-on through
policy change and education. For more information visit
