Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Tortikolis merupakan gejala pada leher di mana terdapat

kontraktur pada satu sisi otot sternokleidomastoideus dan tindakan operatif berupa
torticollis release dapat menjadi pilihan.
Laporan Kasus: Prempuan 19 tahun dengan keluhan kepala condong ke kanan
sejak 13 tahun lalu disertai adanya sensasi tertarik pada leher. Hasil pemeriksaan
fisik regio colli dextra terlihat adanya penonjolan otot sternokleidomastoideus tanpa
rasa nyeri. Penderita kemudian didiagnosis sebagai torticollis dextra. Pada
pemeriksaan laboratorium dan rontgen thorax serta cervical didapatkan hasil
normal. Penderita dilakukan operasi torticollis release dengan reseksi bipolar pada
ujung distal otot sternokleidomastoideus. Penderita mengalami perbaikan setelah 1
hari menjalani operasi tersebut.
Kesimpulan: Operasi torticollis release mampu menghilangkan sensasi tertarik
pada leher dan penderita mencapai perbaikan signifikan dalam rotasi lateral
dibandingkan sebelum operasi.

Abstract

Background: Torticollis is a symptom of the neck where there is contracture on

one side of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the operative action in the form of
torticollis release can be an option.
Case Report: A 19-year-old woman complained of a right-leaning head 13 years
ago with a sensation of being attracted to the neck. The results of physical
examination of the region of right colli were seen with a painless protrusion of the
sternocleidomastoid muscle. The patient was diagnosed with dextra torticollis. On
laboratory examination, chest and cervical x-ray results were normal. Patient was
operated for torticollis release surgery with bipolar resection on the distal end of the
sternocleidomastoid muscle. Patient experienced improvement after 1 day of
undergoing the surgery.
Conclusion: Torticollis release surgery can eliminate the sensation of being
attracted to the neck and the patient achieved significant improvement in lateral
rotation compared to before surgery.
