Bacon Wrapped Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 small onion, chopped
1 egg
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
6 slices bacon
6 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion, egg,
ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Crumble in ground beef and mix by hand.
Form into 6 patties, wrapping one slice of bacon around each patty.
Secure bacon with toothpicks.
Grill to desired wellness.
Remove toothpicks before serving on hamburger buns.
Barbecue Bacon Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
Kosher salt
Ground black pepper
6 slices thick-cut bacon
1 onion, cut into rings
½ cup BBQ sauce
4 slices cheddar or American cheese
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Divide ground beef into 4 patties.
Season patties generously with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Prepare grill so that one side is hot. Place bacon and onions in between hot
and cool sides of grill and cook, turning occasionally, until bacon bubbles
and onions are softened.
Place burgers directly over hot side of grill and cook, flipping patties and
brushing with BBQ sauce.
Transfer patties to cooler side of grill and continue to cook to desired
wellness, brushing with BBQ sauce occasionally.
Top each patty with 1 slice of cheese, then transfer to a large plate and tent
with aluminum foil.
Brush bacon with BBQ sauce and place directly over hot side of grill, sauce-
side down. Brush top with barbecue sauce.
Cook bacon until well charred, about 1 minute.
Flip bacon and cook until second side is well charred, about 1 minute longer.
Top each burger patty with 3 pieces of bacon, then add onion.
Toast buns directly over hot side of grill until browned, about 30 seconds.
Place bottom buns on a cutting board. Transfer patty with bacon and onions
to bottom bun. Brush top bun with barbecue sauce and close sandwich.
Serve.
Beer Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons beer
½ teaspoon Tabasco sauce
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 slices cheese
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Combine beef, beer, Tabasco, and Worcestershire sauce.
Season to taste.
Divide and form into 4 patties.
Wrap and chill for 2 hours.
Grill patties to desired wellness.
Top with cheese and beer braised onions.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Brown Sugar Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey or spicy honey mustard
Maple or honey BBQ sauce
Sharp Cheddar cheese
Real hickory or maple cured bacon
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Mix brown sugar into beef by hand.
Add mustard to mixture and continue to mix thoroughly.
Divide and form into 4 patties.
Grill patties to desired wellness, then serve with desired toppings.
Cheddar Burgers

Makes 8 burgers.

Ingredients:
3 ½ pounds lean ground beef
½ cup BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
8 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves
Sliced tomatoes

Directions:
Mix first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Add pepper and continue to mix thoroughly.
Divide and form mixture into 8 thick patties.
Prepare grill on medium-high heat.
Grill patties to desired wellness, topping with cheese for last minute of
cooking.
Place burgers on bottom halves of buns. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and upper
halves of buns.
Serve.
Chili Burgers

Makes 8 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds ground beef
½ pound Italian sausage
⅓ cup tomato-based chili sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
8 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill for high heat.
Lightly oil the grate.
In a medium bowl, mix together ground beef, Italian sausage, chili sauce,
salt, and pepper.
Divide and form mixture into 8 patties.
Grill patties to desired wellness.
Serve on buns with desired toppings.
Coconut Lime Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
½ cup unsweetened shredded dried coconut
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 egg
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cream of coconut
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons cream of coconut
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup unsweetened shredded dried coconut
½ teaspoon salt
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Combine beef, ½ cup coconut, ¼ cup cilantro, egg, lime juice,
Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon cream of coconut, soy sauce, and 1 ½
teaspoons salt in a bowl and mix well.
Divide and form mixture into 4 patties. Set aside.
Combine mayonnaise with 2 teaspoons cream of coconut and 1 tablespoon of
cilantro. Stir together and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in 1 cup of coconut and
½ teaspoon salt.
Cook and stir until the coconut has turned golden brown.
Drain on a plate lined with paper towels and set aside.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grate.
Cook burgers on preheated grill to desired wellness.
Spread both sides of hamburger buns with cilantro mayonnaise. Place cooked
burgers on bottom buns, sprinkle with toasted coconut, then cover and serve.
Cola Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 egg
½ cup cola, not diet, divided
½ cup crushed saltines
6 tablespoons French salad dressing, divided
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ½ pounds ground beef
6 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine egg, ¼ cup of cola, cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons
salad dressing, Parmesan cheese, and salt.
Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
Divide and form into 6 patties.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining cola and salad dressing. Set aside.
Grill patties, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 3 minutes on each side.
Brush with cola mixture.
Grill to desired wellness, basting and turning occasionally.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Crunch Burgers

Makes 1 burger.

Ingredients:
2 4-ounce ground beef patties
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
2 slices Cheddar cheese
1 hamburger bun, split
1 tablespoon spicy BBQ Sauce
Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, for dressing the burger
4 large BBQ pork rinds

Directions:
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Sprinkle burger patties with ½ teaspoon of seasoning salt on each side.
Grill patties to desired wellness.
Place cheese slices on patties and allow to melt while patties are still hot.
Add ½ tablespoon spicy BBQ sauce to each half of hamburger bun.
Dress the bottom bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.
Stack burger patties onto the bottom bun.
Top with pork rinds, then add top bun and serve.
Garlic Curry Burgers

Makes 8 burgers.

Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 ½ cups chopped sweet onion
1 egg, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 large cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon mild curry powder
1 tablespoon steak seasoning
8 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill for high heat.
In a bowl, mix beef, onion, egg, evaporated milk, Worcestershire sauce,
garlic, curry powder, and steak seasoning.
Divide and form mixture into 8 patties.
Grill patties to desired wellness.
Serve on buns.
Ghost Pepper Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
½ cup of finely chopped onion
4 slices of any cheese
4 slices of cooked bacon, if desired
4 hamburger buns, split
1 tablespoon ghost pepper mix

Directions:
Saute the chopped onion, then mix with ground beef and ghost pepper mix.
Divide and form mixture into 4 patties.
Grill patties over medium heat until desired wellness.
Add cheese and crispy bacon , if desired.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Green Apple Barbecue Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
½ pound lean hamburger
½ pound sausage meat
1 green apple
4 sour dough rolls, split
Cheddar cheese
Red onion
BBQ sauce

Directions:
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Core one green apple and dice into ⅛ inch pieces.
Mix apple pieces in a large mixing bowl together with ½ pound lean
hamburger, ½ pound sausage, and 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce.
Divide and form mixture into 4 patties.
Grill to desired wellness.
Top with slice of cheddar cheese.
Slice red onion.
Place each patty on sour dough roll and top with red onion.
Spread inside top of roll with BBQ Sauce.
Assemble and serve.
Hawaiian Burgers

Makes 2 burgers.

Ingredients:
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
½ teaspoon salt
1 pound lean ground beef
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
4 slices brown sugar ham
4 slices red onion
2 slices Swiss cheese
Lettuce
Mayonnaise
2 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Mix pineapple juice and teriyaki sauce together. Set aside.
Mix beef, ginger, garlic, salt, and soy sauce in a small bowl.
Divide and form into 2 patties.
Make a slight indentation in the center of the burger.
Grill until golden brown and slightly charred, turning once.
Baste with pineapple teriyaki sauce while cooking.
Grill pineapple slices until golden brown grill marks appear on both sides.
Toast hamburger buns by placing on grill until grill marks appear.
Spread mayo on bottom bun.
Add burger to bun.
Top with lettuce, burger, Swiss cheese, grilled pineapple, red onion, and ham.
Serve.
Jalapeno Garlic Onion Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 fresh jalapeno chile pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
4 slices pepperjack cheese
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill to high heat.
Mix jalapeno pepper, garlic, onion, and ground beef in a medium bowl.
Form into 4 patties.
Lightly oil grill grate.
Grill patties to desired wellness.
Top with pepperjack cheese.
Serve on buns.
Jalepeno Blue Cheese Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
6 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
8 ounces crumbled blue cheese
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons tamari
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill to high heat.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, jalapeno peppers, blue cheese, onion
powder, garlic powder, tamari, and salt.
Mix well by hand.
Divide and form mixture into 4 large patties.
Place patties on grill and cook to desired wellness.
Place 1 slice of cheese on each patty.
Cover grill until cheese melts.
Serve on buns with desired toppings.
Korean Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
½ cup chopped green onions
1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons minced peeled fresh ginger
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ pounds ground sirloin
6 hamburger buns, split
6 red leaf lettuce leaves
6 tablespoons thinly sliced radishes

Directions:
Prepare grill.
Combine first 8 ingredients.
Divide and form the mixture into 6 patties.
Place patties on grill rack coated with cooking spray
Grill to desired wellness.
Toast buns on grill for 1 minute.
Place 1 patty on bottom half of each bun.
Top each with 1 lettuce leaf, 1 tablespoon radishes, and top half of bun.
Serve.
Mushroom Swiss Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
½ teaspoon seasoned meat tenderizer
Salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoons butter
2 (4 ounce) cans sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 slices Swiss cheese
6 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Lightly oil the grate.
Divide and form ground beef into 6 patties.
Season patties with meat tenderizer, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and soy sauce.
Cook, stirring, until browned. Set aside and keep warm.
Grill the patties to desired wellness.
Divide mushroom mixture evenly over burgers and top each with 1 slice of
Swiss cheese.
Cover the grill for 1 minute to allow cheese to melt.
Remove from grill and serve on hamburger buns.
Philly Cheesesteak Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground sirloin or chuck
1 tablespoon grill seasoning
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
4 hamburger buns, split

Toppings:
1 large yellow onion
2 bell peppers
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
Kosher salt
Fresh ground black pepper
4 hamburger buns, split
Smoked Provolone cheese sauce

Directions:
Combine burger ingredients in a large mixing bowl, mixing by hand to
combine.
Divide and form mixture into 4 patties.
Make a slight indentation in the center of each burger. Set aside.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium high heat, then add
onions.
Toss to coat onions. Cover and cook until onions are caramelized, stirring
occasionally, about 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Meanwhile in a large skillet over high heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Add sliced peppers and toss to coat.
Cook until peppers are soft.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Preheat grill to high heat.
Grill burgers to desired wellness.
Toast buns on low or indirect heat.
Dress the burgers: Place each on a toasted bottom bun, top with ¼ of sautéed
peppers, ¼ of caramelized onions, and a heaping spoonful of smoked
Provolone cheese sauce. Top with toasted top bun.
Serve.
Pineapple Bacon Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
3 pounds lean ground beef
¾ cup prepared barbecue sauce
1-½ (8 ounce) cans sliced pineapple
12 slices bacon
6 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Prepare grill for indirect cooking.
In a large bowl, mix together ground beef and BBQ sauce.
Season mixture with salt and pepper.
Divide and form mixture into 4 large patties.
Place a slice of pineapple on top of each patty.
Crisscross 2 bacon strips around each patty, securing with toothpicks.
Lightly oil the grate.
Place burgers on grill over medium low heat. Cook, covered, to desired
wellness, flipping often.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Rib Rub Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup sugar
½ cup salt
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons ground red pepper
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground celery seed
6 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Make the rib rub: In a small bowl, combine sugar, salt, paprika, ground red
pepper, ground cumin, and celery seed. Reserve 2 Tablespoons, then put
remaining rib rub aside.
Place ground beef in a medium bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of rib rub and mix
thoroughly by hand.
Divide and form into 6 patties.
Grill over medium heat until desired wellness.
Serve on buns plain or with desired toppings.
Sweet Onion Burgers

Makes 4 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:
Preheat grill to high heat.
In a large bowl, mix together onion, beef, salt, and pepper, to taste.
Divide mixture and form into 4 patties.
Lightly oil the grate.
Place burgers on grill and cook to desired wellness.
Serve with desired condiments.
Taco Burgers

Makes 6 burgers.

Ingredients:
1 cup finely crushed corn chips
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 ½ pounds ground beef
6 slices cheddar cheese
6 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Salsa, optional

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine corn chips, taco seasoning, onion, and egg.
Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 6 patties.
Grill, covered, over medium heat to desired wellness.
Top each burger with 1 cheese slice. Continue cooking briefly until cheese
begins to melt.
Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and salsa, if desired.
