paediatrics femoral shaft fracture prior to hip spica application, as a resting splint
3. C, allows alignment of the fractured proximal segment
4. Pressure sores, peroneal nerve injury

Compartment syndrome is not a chronic injury. Compartment syndrome is an acute complication.


And the usage of this splint do not predispose the patient to compartment syndrome

Resting splint - post fracture to rest and keep the limb in a certain position
