Instructions for Upgrading the 375 Field Communicator to

Version 2.0
Important – Read the following Overview and Prerequisites before proceeding with the
upgrade instructions.

Overview

There are five steps to upgrade your 375 Field Communicator to the Version 2.0 software.

Step 1: Use the current Easy Upgrade program to download and install the new Easy
Upgrade program Version 1.6.0.*

Step 2: Use the Check for Updates feature in the new Easy Upgrade program (1.6.0) to
download new Version 2.0 system software and DDs to your PC.*

Step 3: Use the new Easy Upgrade program (1.6.0) to upgrade Version 2.0 software on the 375
system card using SD Card Reader.

Step 4: Insert the upgraded System Card into the 375 Field Communicator to upgrade the
communicator.

Step 5: Registering the 375 Field Communicator.

*Steps 1 and 2 may take up to 1.5 hours, depending on Internet speed. As an alternate method for use with
slower Internet connections, the new Easy Upgrade program, along with the Version 2.0 software and DDs,
can be downloaded directly from www.fieldcommunicator.com/download/375resourcecdrevm.zip. After the
download, click on Setup.exe and proceed to Step 3 when installation is complete.

If multiple 375 Field Communicators are being upgraded from a single PC, Steps 1 and 2 only need to be
done once. If you do not have a reliable Internet connection or if your connection is very slow, please contact
375 Technical Support for alternate methods of upgrading your communicators.

before performing the upgrade. It can be re-inserted when the upgrade is complete.
