Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

- going to open the national anthem video and sing with the students,

- going to take the attendance, ask the students about the date and the month. Also, I am going to ask
them about the weather (what is the weather today?) – day (today is? yesterday was? Tomorrow will
be?
Time: 15 min

- I’ am going to ask them about their weekend (how was your weekend?)

- Open number song and sing with the students.

- Tell them a short story about less number.

Active Engagement (group working with the teacher)

- Going to throw a cube dice on the students, ask them which number do you have? Then I will write
the number on the board, and throw the cube dice again and ask the student which number is less
than the other?

- I will ask two groups of students one is less than the other to come to the front and others have to
compare between the number of students in each group to find the group that contains the less
number.

- Use two sets of different objects(counters). One of these sets will contain number of objects and the
student should think how many less counters should we put for the other set. (use this activity for 5
times from number 5 to 1)
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Going to give each child 5 cups with different numbers from 2 to 5, and cotton. ask the student to see the
numbers on the cups and think which number is less than the number on the cups, based on that student
should put the cottons on the in cups.

Independent Experience (small group activity 2)

Cookies Flashcards; each child will have four flashcards and four clothes pins. I will ask the students to
count the cookies and think which number of cookies has less number and they have to put the clothe pin on
the right number.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3)

Tree flashcards; students will have four flashcards and coloured pencil, it will be in each flashcard two tree,
Time: 15 min

one will have from 2 to 5 apples and the other tree will be empty. Ask the student to count how many
apples, and they have to think how many should they have to draw to become less than the other tree.

Group 4: Students have to work on Math book pages: 95/96.

Take students work from each activity and show it to the students, appreciate them.
