BASIC JOB STEPS HAZARDS
 PLANNING  Non-compliance of  Repair to HSEMS Procedures–Doc. No. SA.KOC.004 “Permit To
KOC-HSEMS Work.
Procedures
 Position the Diesel Fuel Tanker  Equipments Failure  Diesel Tanker Truck Has valid KOC clearance certificate.
Truck Near To The Stationary  Drive only to gatch backfilled and compacted areas.
Equipments  Ensure that driver have fill up the daily equipment checklist.
 Driver and the fuel handler have undergone awareness training
for Chemical Handling.
 All hoses and clamps are in good conditions
 Diesel tanker truck must ensure to hand brake or provide
wedge/Wheel choker.
 Both driver and fuel handler comply with full PPE at all times.

 Filling Diesel  Fire  Install proper earthing rod at least 30 cm embedded on the
ground.
 2 pieces 9 kilogram Fire Extinguisher to be available within
reach.
 Equipment to be re-filling must switch off its engine.
 Provide dripped tray to contain diesel droplets.
 Avoid over filling the diesel tank of equipments.

 Post Filling  Diesel Spillage  Wipe out any spillage and keep the equipments clean and dry.
 Ensure to return back the nozzle and hose to its reel.
 Pullout the earthing rod.
 Keep the ground or concrete pavement clean and dry.

 Additional hazards  Animal/ Reptile  Do not feed or befriend with stray animals / wild life and make
bites sure the team always stay together.
 Heat Stress/  Ensure Buddy system is implemented.
Extreme Cold  Ensure availability of ample quantity of fresh water
 Un identified  Do not touch any company assets without proper authorization.
Objects exposure Do not touch any unidentified objects.
 In case of strange objects are found, immediately stop the
activity, barricade the area if possible, evacuate all personnel
from the work location and inform Company representative or
call KOC safety / EOD as appropriate at 160
 `Live System
 Ensure all employees undergone awareness training and
understand the existing hazard inside the live plant areas.
 Ensure there is full time supervision and control.
 Ensure workers are informed of live system
