RESEARCH PROJECTS
A double blind variable dose, comparative parallel study to compare the safety and efficacy
of Meperidine/Midazolam vs. Remifentanil/Midazolam for sedation/analgesia during
monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for ambulatory patients undergoing colonoscopy.
This project involved informed signed consent after history and physical examination
followed by patient care, follow-up and management.
Platelet function monitoring in cardiac surgery (In-Vivo) - studying the effects of
antifibrinolytic drugs on platelet function and chest tube drainage.
Measurement of Retractometry and Modified Thromboelastography in healthy volunteers
and in patients with significant cardiovascular disease.
