2019-2023

Year One - 2019


1/2019 Master of Arts in Education with Specialization in Best Practices - NU
Goal: To become a certified preliminary first grade teacher in California with
the knowledge and skills necessary to teach in multiple subject content areas.

8/2019 Social-Emotional Learning Institute – San Mateo, CA


Goals: To build a deep, experiential understanding of core SEL principles and
practices; to help me inspire students to become resilient learners; to help spark
creativity; and to bring SEL back to my classroom and my school.

Year Two - 2020


8/2020 California BTSA Induction Program
Goals: To begin the program to clear my credential for California.
To increase student performance by effectively implementing the California
Standards for the Teaching Profession.
To strengthen my knowledge in core content areas to increase student’s learning.
To increase my knowledge about effective assessment tools and strategies.
To increase my knowledge about identifying special needs of students and designing
learning experiences to meet the needs of all students.

Year Three - 2021


6/2021 California BTSA Induction Program
Goal: To complete and obtain my California Professional Teaching Credential.

8/2021 Rutger’s Social-Emotional Learning & Character Development Certificate


Goal: To enhance my skills working with students using social-emotional learning.
I will also begin my research as I implement SEL in various classrooms.

Year Four - 2022


8/2022 Social-Emotional Learning & Character Development Certificate Program
and continue research and collection of data on Social-Emotional Learning
Goal: To complete the SEL Certificate Program and implement SEL in my school.

Year Five - 2023


6/2023 Publish: Comfort Food for Kids: A Guide for Implementing Social-
Emotional Learning in Grades K-2 to Ensure Student Success
Goal: To compile all research and data to share how SEL ensures student success.
