SUBJECT: To Apply for the Post of Editor

Respected Sir/ Ma’am

This is to seek an opportunity for being a part of the Faculty of Law , Jamia Millia Islamia. I
am a third-year law student of the faculty

Last Year I became a part of the organising 2nd International Symposium on ‘Contemporary
International Affairs ‘organised by The Indian Journal of Law & International Affairs on 7th
april,2018, because of which I came to know about this journal and also being a part of it for
one day only instilled with the eagerness to understand the subject in depth with application.

During the course of past two years in the faculty, I have attempted to focus on a wide range
of aspects that are essential for the holistic development from the perspective of being an
aspiring lawyer such as research papers, internships and moot court competitions. Since first
year itself, I have engaged in two internships, first one in civil & judicial courts, Palampur
and the second one in Distt. Courts, Dharamshala and participated in three National Moot
Court competitions including ones which were organised by ICFAI law school, Dehradun &
RGNUL, Patiala. The moots in which I participated were based on a versatile set laws
ranging from civil and criminal law to constitutional and competition law. Participating in
these competitions and working on research-oriented issues have assisted me in
understanding and interpreting the law and have played a substantial role in shaping me as an
intellectually aware person. I also Attended 17th Summer Course on International Law
organized by INDIAN SOCIETY OF INTERNATIONAL LAW, 2018. After this course I
transformed myself from a layman to a beginner in the field of International law.

If given a chance to be a part of the Journal, I would try to work out new changes which
would help in the growth of journal with respect to new events & topics in the International
World . I assure you of doing my work with full dedication and zeal for the committee in
reaching soaring heights. I’m enclosing my resume below for your consideration.
