Horizontal 3‐Phase separators are mechanical devices for
removing and collecting liquids from natural gas. An
Exterran designed separator will provide for the release of
entrained gases from the accumulated hydrocarbon liquid
and provide for separation of the water and hydrocarbon
emulsion.
A "Heater Treater" is used in the oil and gas production
process and is used to removes water and gas from the
produced oil ‐ and to improve its quality for sale into a
crude oil pipeline or for other transport. A heater‐treater
typically combines the following components inside the
heater treater: a heater, free‐water knockout, and oil and
gas separator.
Produced water management has become one of the
major costs of operating oil & gas production facilities.
Exterran Water Solutions specializes in de‐bottlenecking
production facilities that may be restricted in oil and gas
processing capability due to excessive water production.
The Exterran Water Solutions team is responsible for the
design and supply of systems and services for produced
water treating, disposal, or re‐use.
Exterran Water Technologies designs and manufactures
state‐of‐the‐art produced water treatment systems based
on the following proprietary designs:
•SkimClean™ Vertical and horizontal skimmer/degassers
and Sump Tanks
•P‐klone™ hydrocyclone separators
•Micro‐bubble Flotation™ (MBF™) induced gas flotation systems
•API Tank Flotation – MBF in new or retrofit API Tanks
•Revolift® Vertical and Horizontal IGF units
•Sabian® Black Walnut Shell media filters
Exterran Water Management Services provides turnkey solutions for produced water management including:
•Treatment and surface discharge of Coal Bed Methane waters
•Treatment and recycle or discharge of conventional produced waters
•Turnkey system design, installation, operation and maintenance with 24/7 monitoring
•Regulatory and discharge permit consulting services
•Compliance monitoring
•Complete water management
Filter Separators are mechanical devices used to remove
dust, rust, lube oil and any particles larger than one
micron from the natural gas stream. They can be utilized
when small amounts of liquid are expected.
Natural Gas Dehydration systems remove water vapor
from gas streams. Dehydration systems should be
employed to prevent water vapor in the gas stream which
cause hydrates and corrosion.
JT (Joule‐Thomson) Skid Assemblies are integrated
packages that provide hydrocarbon dew point control and
increased recovery of natural gas liquids (NGL).
The JT Plant consists of: a gas‐to‐gas heat exchanger, JT
valve, cold separator, methanol injection system and
control system, all mounted on a single skid.
The fuel gas skid strips the contaminants and liquids from
the natural gas to prepare it for use as fuel for the other
equipment.
BTEX eliminator systems are a natural air cooled heat
exchanger condensing system used to capture and recycle
BTEX and V.O.C. from the dehydrator still column.
Condensed liquids are collected and transferred to
storage and the residual V.O.C. vapors are sent to the
burner.
