Two 0-10V DC control outputs heat and cool.
Two monitor outputs for current Temperature & Setpoint
Proportional output for electric heating
TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION:
SENSOR
Sensor = Sensor.
Sensor & Screen = Sensor & Screen.

OPTIONAL EXTERNAL SETPOINT ADJUSTER (IRA4001)

SPX1 = Cold End of POT (Grey)
SPX2 = Hot End of POT (Brown)
EXTSP = Wiper of POT (Pink)
*NOTE: Connecting the external adjuster automatically
over-rides the internal Setpoint.
No Configuration Required.

OUTPUTS:
Cool = Cooling 0-10V Output.
Heat = Heating 0-10V Output.
Temp Out = Current Temperature SENSOR WIRING:
(temp = voltage x10) 1 DO NOT connect 24V or 240VAC to "Sensor, Sensor &
SP Out = Current Setpoint Temperature Screen" terminals.
(temp = voltage x10)
2 Screened cable should be used between the sensor and the IMT.
MODULATING OUTPUT: The screen is terminated to the sensor & screen terminal.

SUPPLY FOR 24VAC OPERATION: TEMPERATURE RATING:
24V~ = 24VAC. Storage 0°C to 50°C non condensing.
0V⊥ = 0V. Operating 0°C to 40°C non condensing.
*NOTE: If using 24VAC supply DO NOT connect any cabling
to terminals 240V~, N & . APPLICATION:
The Innotech Modular Thermostat is designed to control
SUPPLY FOR 240VAC OPERATION: temperature in air conditioning systems. It is an analogue
240V~ = Active 240VAC. controller that regulates temperature of a conditioned space by
N = Neutral 240VAC. switching heating and cooling systems as required. Tailoring of

accessible via the front panel. A knob on the center of the front
*NOTE: If using 240VAC supply DO NOT connect any cabling panel sets the desired temperature. The unit is DIN rail mountable,
to terminals 24V~ & 0V⊥. and has screw down terminals for all external connections.

Modular Thermostat
November 2002
FEATURES: ENCLOSURE:
Separate 0-10V outputs for heating and cooling . The DIN rail mountable Innotech Modular Thermostat is
housed in rectangular case made from flame resistant
IMT5022 - 2 Heat & 2 Cool Relays.
Astrene M650 IR plastic in accordance with IEC695-2-1
IMT5011 - 1 Heat & 1 Cool Relays. (HD444-2-1) as of EN6335-1, A2 and IEC707 (AS/NZS2420).
LED Indication of Relay Status. Colour: Grey.
Mounting: DIN rail mounted.
24VAC/240VAC operation.
Heat valve output. APPROVALS:
The Innotech Modular Thermostat conforms to the requirements
Temperature output. per European Consortium standards EN55014:1993 (CISR14),
and EN55104:1995 (EN1000-4-2, EN1000-4-4, EN1000-4-5,
Setpoint output. EN1000-4-6 and EN1000-4-11 ) for CE mark labeling; as well
External setpoint. as the requirements of Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS
EXTERNAL SETPOINT WIRING: 1044:1995 including Amendment 1:1997 for C-tick.
1 DO NOT connect 24V or 240VAC to "SPX1, SPX2 & EXTSP"
terminals.
2 Screened cable should be used between the adjuster and the
IMT. The screen is terminated into Sensor& Screen terminal.

SETPOINT:
The Set point is adjustable from 10 to 30°C via the external scaled
SetPoint pot.
An External Set Point Adjuster (IRA4001) may be connected that
automatically overides the scaled Set Point pot. The external Set
Point Adjuster(IRA4001) has a range of 10 to 30°C.

PROPORTIONAL BAND:
The proportional band is adjustable from 0.5° to 5°C via the
external scaled PB knob. A setting of 1.0°C results in a
proportional band of 1.0°C for both heat and cool.

DEAD ZONE:
The Dead Zone is adjustable from 10 to 60% of the proportional
band setting via the external scaled DZ% knob. The dead zone
setting represents a percentage of the proportional band. If the
proportional band is set to 1°C and the dead zone is set to 30%
the resultant dead zone is 0.3°C either side of the setpoint.

INSTALLATION:
1 The IMT should be mounted on DIN rail in cabinets approved
for switchgear or industrial control equipment. It should be
mounted in a dry and clean location, free of excess vibration.
Maximum terminal cable entry is 1.5mm² wire.
2 There are no serviceable parts within the Innotech Modular
Thermostat and opening the case will void the manufacturers
warrenty.
3 Wire in accordance with INNOTECH connection diagrams and
local bylaws or refer to your local distributor.
