1. Project Overivew
I am designing a web application to help teachers share lecture materails with the student
and which allows the students to manage their lecture notes. The application aims to give the
students a centralized storage for all the mateirals related to the lectrues they are attending.
The users of this application will be both students and teachers from Bucharest University of
Economic Sciences.
This is as useful tool because it allows the sudtents to have a centralized storage point for all
the lecture materials (notes, slides etc.) and allows them to properly mange their lecture notes and
also share them with other students. This helps because, based on the inetrview results, the students
at Bucahrest University of Economics Sciences don’t have a propper solution to get in posession of
lecture materials. Also, based on the results of the interview, the applciation will allow the students
to take lecture notes faster and more efficient.
The application should:
 allow teachers to create shared storage folders for each lecture they teach and want to share
materials;
 allow the teachers to grant acces to the shared storage to students attending the lectures;
 allow the teachres to upload, label and group materials they upload;
 allow each student to have a private storage space for each module he is enlisted in;
 have a shared storage point where students can share their materials/lecture notes with
others

 allow studenst to add comments/notes/additional information on the lecture slides provided
by the teacher;

2. Balsamiq Wireframes
Interactions:
 to gain acces to this section the user need to have a ‘teacher’ account;
 leftside accordion is used for fast navigation trough the coures the teacher is teaching;
 each accordion tab contains a hierarchical folder structure of predefined folders: ‘Students’,
‘Lectures’ and ‘Private Folders’
 user can create a new folder by selecting “Add Folder” option;
 user can add new coursed that he teaches by selecting “Add Course” option;
 on the right side, the user can manage the students that have access to the shared storage;
 the user can unregister a student from having access to the shared materials by clicking the
‘x’ button right next student’s name;
 the user can register access for other students by pressing ‘Register Student’ button;
 the user can quickly navigate between pages using breadcrumbs from the top of the page;
 I have used a minimalist design for this page because the user doesn’t require large amounts
of information to manage the students that are registered to the shared storage;
 I have used icon buttons instead of regular buttons with text because it gives a less crouded
user interface which makes it easier to use and less exhausting for long time usage.
