QUESTION: Both human act and act of human are the same. Discuss
INTRODUCTION
According to Aristotle and Thomas they were able to discussed and different between
these two aspect of how man acts. These difference between human act and act of man
cannot being understood without explain the meaning of man. Man can be defined as a
social being, Rational being, Rational animal, an image of logos, an image of God, A will of
power, and also a moral being. According to Aristotle and Thomas they explained that
human act is the act which is performed by man under the power of intellect and the will. In
act man this are done without knowledge, consent, and no voluntariness. By my opinion
human act and act man are not the same due to the following reason.
Human act is the one that proceed from knowledge and free will also is something
that a person does voluntarily. This type of act only performed by human being and so
proper to man, Therefore human act are those that are freely chosen in consequence of a
judgment of conscience. They are either good or bad for example ‘’Mwalusambo wanted to
give her mother a present for her birthday, but he had no money so he was force to come
out with the decision by working to own money’’. While act of man are act that people
performed considering the possible effect to his or her life, good or bad. This is something
done involuntarily. For example is blinking our eyes every few second
Human act are act that people do not do automatically without thinking for
example; people can choose what kind of clothes he/she can wear during the day also what
kind of perfume he/she need to put on it can also be in a risk way for example planning a
day for robbery the bank or kidnapping and other risk behavior while act of man is the act
that people do automatically without thinking for example; sneezing some can’t control
sneezing also coughing Is a act that people do automatically without thinking also
nightmares this is something that man does without thinking and also fear for example
‘’john’s mother needed an operation which requires amount of one million if he doesn’t
deposit the money in a right time her mother will die so john fond the money in the right
time to rescue her mother’’ this is a act of man as john had a fear and he was afraid of
loosing her mother and so fond the money.
Human act involve a person deliberately exercising their intellect and will. For
example a person can choose either to walk or run also taking a shower it’s all his/her
choice on doing various things. This are act that a person do intention. while act of man do
not take place because of one’s deliberation and does not involve fully utilizing one’s
intellect. Example of man of act which are not under control of one’s will included act
sensation (the use of sense), act of appetite (bodily tendencies such as digestion),act of
delirium, and act of when one is asleep. The preference of these factors (ignorance, fear,
passion, violence and habitat) cause an act to be classified as act of man.
Human act is foreseeable meaning that it can be seen for example judgment that
you have freedom to judge something also questioning, walking, taking action, while talking
about act of man this is unforeseeable meaning that it cannot be seen for example
nightmares they can’t be seen only dreaming them were you can’t able control them also
beating of heart you can’t see it different from human act were you can able to stop your
decision making .
