In the UKCS, a 30" conductor would normally be

installed at +/- 275 ft BML. Following which a

17.1/2" hole would be drilled and a 20" x 13.3/8"
casing string run. There would be one joint of 20"
casing XO to 13.3/8". The HPWHH would be
welded to the 20" casing joint onshore. The
HPWHH would be landed and locked inside the

Assumed temperature gradient is 10 C

per 100ft BML.

13.3/8" set at +/= 3,900 ft TVD to

seal off sands between 3,300 ft
and 3,800 ft that are prone to loss
circulation. Cement with a low
density cement slurry.
Temperature at 13.3/8" shoe 380 C
. Seabed temperature 40 C .

9.5/8" casing set at +/- 8100 ft. Predicted kick

tolerance would not be sufficient to drill the
overpressured formations (which may contain
hydrocarbons) in 12.1/4" hole to TD (See Kick
Tolerance spreadsheet). Temperature at

7" liner should be set across the

overpressured formations (with an overlap of
+/- 250 ft insided 9.5/8" casing) to allow MW
to be reduced before drilling potential
reservoir in 6" hole.
