ABSTRACT
Vertigo is one of the disorders most often experienced and troublesome
for most people, generally vertigo complaints attack for a short time today,
tomorrow is lost. This if left unchecked will be the cause of insomnia and have
an impact on sleep quality disorders in vertigo patients so that they experience
chronic sleep disturbances. Good sleep quality will restore the body's function
to the optimal functional level.
The design of this research is experimental quasy pre-post test with
group design control by connecting cause and effect by involving the control
group and experimental group. The independent variable is cupping therapy.
The dependent variable is the quality of sleep in vertigo patients. The
population in this study were 27 respondents. Samples taken were 14
respondents. Sampling using symple random sampling. The instruments in this
study are questionnaires and cupping tools. Statistical test using Paired T-test
and Independent T-test with α 5 0.05.
The results of statistical tests using the Independent T-test Test for the
results of statistical tests using the Independent T-test with a significance level
α = 0.05 obtained p = 0.04. The value of p = 0.04 <α = 0.05 (ρ <α) then H1 is
accepted, thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of cupping therapy on
sleep quality in vertigo patients in the working area of Bangkalan City health
center.
Based on the results of the study, this study is expected for patients with
sleep quality disorders in vertigo patients are advised to do cupping therapy to
improve sleep quality, especially for sufferers of poor sleep quality disorders.
