Standard Operating Procedure of Disc Mill

1. Disc mill
- A type of mill used for crashing or grinding by attrition of grain size level.

2. Advantages
- Save time and energy used
- Thickness of product can be controlled

3. Cleaning
- Cleaning the bowl, put the water and soap, brush and rinsed again.

- Same process is stone by pouring the water and adding soap on the surface of the stone
and brushes them before rinsed it again.
- Cleaning is a must before starting process and after finished the process.

4. Component
- Switch : used to turn on/off the machine

- Motor : used to operate the machine

- Disc mill : used to grind food

- Blade : breakdown the food particle into small size

- Main lock : used to lock the door to avoid food from coming during grinding.

- Disc mill lock : avoid disc mill moving during grinding.

- Coarse handler : used to obtain coarse sample from .

- Fine handler : used to obtain fine sample form.

-Plug : the main circuit for the mill to operate.

5. Operating procedure :
-1. Connect switch to main power supply, turn on

-2. Adjust the handler either fine/ rough, lock the disc mill

-3. Start

-4. Put the sample inside the bowl

-5. Collect the sample that has going through grinding process

-6. Stop the machine once finished

5. Precaution.

- Proper attire to protect yourself.

- Make sure hand is dry.

- Wear mask is a must to avoid dust.

- Avoid using bare hand.
