A huge Thank you to St Joseph Parish for supporting our CCD students who attended the 2018 Rural Catholic
Youth Conference-- Crafted and Worthy-- this past weekend in Topeka. We had amazing speakers, Mass with
the Bishop, Adoration, wonderful meals and accommodations . The break out sessions provided us with
reflective opportunities for spiritual growth. We ended the night with the Mikey Needleman band and mass on
Sunday morning. Your Family Ministry dollars were well spent! Thank you Rose and Brian for chaperoning
with me. We hope to have more kids experience this conference In 2020! …Kay Schmidt
“One of the best things at the Rural Catholic Youth Conference was the atmosphere. The live band was a hit for me too. Also, the
food was excellent and in abundance. The conference moved me closer to the Lord by having adoration, Arch Bishop Nauman
celebrating Mass with us, and all the songs that we sang. Overall, I would recommend more people doing it next time we have
it.”…..Ted Skalsky
“RCYC was truly amazing. It was crazy for me to think that 200 high school kids love
Jesus and were there taking their weekend off to worship God. The environment was
indescribable. I loved meeting new people, the music, dance, food, learning more
about our faith and so much more. I loved this experience and I would go back in a
heart beat. Thanks to the parish for helping make this possible for me.”…Drue Davis
“This past weekend I went to RCYC in Topeka. It was fun meeting new people, and dancing to the Mikey Needleman Band. Our
speaker, Mary, inspired us to become better people with her talk on us being masterpieces created by God. We ate a lot of great food
and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I want to thank St. Joseph Parish for this opportunity.” …..Gavin
