Learning Activity: Write an activity to show how you would apply the strategy called
“Realia”.

Theme: Realia strategy

Competence this activity enhances: Applies the strategy called Realia to introduce
real objects that can be seen, felt, and manipulated to connect reality to real life.

Methodological Guidelines (Strategies of the Assignment):

a. Carefully read the information from pages 42 to 46 from the textbook.


b. Analyze the steps and the application section of the strategy mentioned
above to write the activity but DO NOT copy.
c. The activity must be designed for adult people, with a basic level.
d. Think of a topic to apply the strategy (pay attention to the students’ level
and age).
e. Write the way on how you would apply this strategy.
f. Prepare materials to support the application of the required strategy. (two
different materials at least)
g. Don’t attempt to copy from any source or don’t use the exact words of the
application section of this strategy.
h. You are asked to write an activity on how you would apply this strategy in
an ENGLISH CLASS not to write theory on what this strategy is.
i. You are NOT asked to design a lesson plan.
j. The activity must contain from 300 to 400 words.
k. Check the rubrics below to see if the activity meets the expectations for

a. Carefully read the information from pages 173 to 176 of the textbook.
b. Analyze the steps and the application section of the strategy mentioned
above to write the example but DO NOT copy.
c. Choose any topic to teach with this strategy.
d. The example must be designed for adult learners, with an elementary
level.
e. Look for a story considering the age of the students (adult people).
f. Write the way on how you would apply this strategy.
g. Prepare at least three different types of materials (i.e. pictures, posters,
flash cards, etc.) to support the application of the required strategy.
h. Don’t attempt to copy from any source or don’t use the exact words of the
application section of this strategy.
