4.1 Introductory Activity JUMBLED WORDS
The class will be group into four each group will be given 5 jumbled words that need to be arranged.

4.4 Abstraction IMPLEMENTS


Emery board - Is used to shape and smoothen the free edge of the nail
Metal pusher - Is used to push back or loosen dead cuticle.
Nail cutter - is a metal device used to cut or shorten fingernails and toenails.
Orange wood stick - is used to loosen cuticle, clean underneath the nails, and remove the polish
around the cuticle and nails.
Cuticle nippers - are metal devices used to trim hangnails and dead cuticle.
Cuticle scissors - are used to cut dead cuticles
Nail buffer - is used to stimulate the circulation under the nails
Nail brush - is a small plastic brush used to clean nails and fingers
EQUIPMENTS
Chairs - is used for the patron and chair or stool for the manicurist.
Cushion - Cushion is used as a support to the customers arm.
Tray - Tray is a flat container that is divided into parts in order to have an organize set of tools
during manicure.
COSMETICS
Alcohol – Rubbing alcohol cleans the hands of the manicurist and the patron’s hand before giving a
manicure.
Nail Polish Remover – or acetone is used to remove nail polish.
Hand Lotion – is used to soften the hand.
Base Coat – directly applied to nails to protect them from stain colored polishes.
Top Coat – applied over the colored enamel prevents peeling and chipping.
Color Enamel – gives color and beauty to the nails. Color enamel is applied over the base coat to
give strength and color to the nail plate.
MATERIALS
Cotton Balls –are made of soft white downy fiber. Used to clean the nails and to remove old polish.
Finger Bowl – is used to hold warm soapy water for manicuring.
Hand Towel – are used to dry hand and nails.

4.5 Application The students will play ""PASS THE MYSTERY BOX"". Inside the box are some questions related to their
discussion.
The teacher will play a music when the music plays the students will pass the box to their seatmate,
but when the music stopped the one who is holding the box will get a question inside the box ang give it to the
teacher. The teacher will read the question for her.
