> Geminid Meteor Shower - Through early December, you will be able to
witness the fantastic meteors of the Geminid meteor shower. This annual
shower runs through the first couple weeks of December and peaks
NEW FIRST FULL LAST around 2 AM HST on December 14th. Considered by many to be the best
12/6 12/15 12/22 12/28 meteor shower of the year, you can expect to see multiple shooting stars
each minute during its peak.

> Winter Solstice - Winter Solstice for the northern hemisphere takes
place on December 21, where the sun will rise and set at its southernmost
position in the sky. The sun will travel at its lowest arc across the sky,
marking the shortest day and longest night of the year.
