conditions. After balancing the system, the vibration level can be reduce to acceptable level and life of the machine and bearing can be considerably reduced.

Following are the aims and objectives of this project
• To perform static balancing of the dummy perspex apparatus
• To develop a data acquisition system for the balancing machine • To develop a graphic user interface using Matlab software for quick handling of data.
• To perform dynamic balancing of the Dynamic Balancing Machine in MOM

1.2. Scope of Work
The main scope of this project revolves around two different rotary machine setups. The first rotary machine is a dummy apparatus made of Perspex. This system would be used for development of the balancing technique and data acquisition system. The developed technique would be utilized on the faulty dynamic balancing machine in the Mechanics of Machine lab for its proper working.
