RATIONALE
This lesson will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of the holocaust. They will
understand that the events of the Holocaust happened to individuals, and that it happened
incrementally. They will also begin to understand some of the cause and effect of the Holocaust.

LEARNING INTENTIONS
By the end of this lesson students will know some of the events of the Holocaust. Also, they will
begin to understand the cause and effect.

Students have already been introduced to the Holocaust with their reading.

Students will be working collaboratively as a class to create the timeline, so students will have
the help of their peers.

ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION


Students will submit their note taking sheets. Also, they will be asked to create a written
response regarding the cause and effect of the Holocaust.
