SUB HEAD I : EARTH WORK

1.1 Earth work in excavation in foundation trenches (exceeding 1.5m in width or 10 sqm. on plan upto
2.9m.) including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5m, including getting out the
excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil within the site as directed with the help of cum 363.00
mechanical excavators dumpers etc. complete: Ordinary soil

1.2 Earth work in excavation in foundation trenches, Columns pits etc. upto a width of 3.5 mtr. from existing
natural ground level and stacking the excavated material within the site or adjacent plots including
dressing of bottom, sides strutting, timbering, shoring, trimming of sides dewatering, all leads and lifts,
incidentals, etc. complete with ramming of bottom, surface preparation as per specifications to receive
the PCC. Excavation shall be payable only for vertical cut up to the outer edge of foundation lean
concrete as indicated in drawings for all depths. Cost of extra excavation required for working space,
supporting side shuttering of foundations and retaining walls and that required for making slopes for
stability of excavation shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (Note: The Line & levels in the
drawings shall be strictly followed and over excavation if any shall be made good by contractor free of
cost as per the instructions of the Owner) To organize the space for stacking of excavated earth for
using the same in back filling will be responsidility of the contractor only.

1.3 Filling with selected, suitable excavated earth already available at site or adjacent plots in plinths, back
of retaining walls, foundations and trenches and spreading the remaining soil for specified location as
directed by the Project Manager/Architect and shall be done in layers, not exceeding 20cm in depth and
consolidating each deposited layer by mechanical means, ramming and watering as per specifications
including re-excavation, transportation, loading, unloading, carriage to dumping spot and all incidentals
at all depth, levels, leads and lifts complete. (Net consolidated area fill volume will be computed from the
initial and final levels. Volume in slopes, embankments etc. will be computed applying appropriate cum 496.00
formula, as per CPWD specification). Note: filling shall be done by the excavated earth available at site
or adjacent plots stacked by the Contractor and/ or by the other agency.

1.4 Supplying and Filling in plinth, under floor with fine Jamuna sand including ramming, watering,
cum 51.56
consolidating and dressing complete as per specification and as directed by the Architect.

1.5 Note: The work must be executed by approved specialised Agency who is the member of IPCA. The
Contractor shall give a 10 years guarantee as per instruction of Architect.
Providing and injecting chemical emulsion for pre-constructional anti-termite treatment and creating a
chemical barrier under and all-round the column pits, wall trenches, top surface of plinth filling, junction
of wall and floor along the external perimeter of building, expansion joints, surroundings of pipes and
conduits etc. complete ( plinth area at ground floor level will be measured and paid for )

2.1 Providing and laying on sunken areas broken light weight concrete block bats of approximately 600 kg.

2.2 Providing and laying plain cement concrete of specified grade as bed concrete under foundation,
column footing, below road and pathways,cill, coping, kerb, small section of miscellaneous item,
screeding at roof to required slope and other locations as called for laid, consolidated and cured etc.
complete including finishing the top surface to receive the next course / layer as per specification and
drawing including the cost of centering and shuttering.

2.4 Providing and laying damp proof course 40mm thick with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse
sand : 4 graded stone aggreate 20mm nominal size) including providing and mixing of water proofing
compound @ 2% of cement content and providing and applying two layers of bitumen of grade 85/25 Sqm 6.00
and as directed by the Project Manager / Architect.

2.5 Providing & laying RMC ( for all castings of 12 cum m & over at one time & item, using pump) / site
mixed structural controlled cement concrete ( for all castings smaller than preceding) , both of of
specified grade with 20mm nominal gauge coarse aggregates, excluding cost of centering, shuttering
and steel reinforcement but including cost of making shear keys and provision of construction / control

2.6 Approved Marine plywood shuttering and centring for structural concrete work in locations called for
including strutting, propping, bracing, bolting, wedging, casing, striking, removal etc. complete for any
size, section, thickness. Props shall consist of well designed steel pipes adequately braced (wooden
ballies as props shall not be permitted). The item to include centering and shuttering at all heights and
levels.
Allow for forming grooves, drip course, chamfers, cut-outs, openings etc. where called for and for
dressing with approved shuttering oil to prevent adhesion. Unexposed concrete surfaces subsequently
left untreated (in the condition obtained on removal of form work) shall not constitute exposed concrete
work and shall be measured under this item only. Irregular shapes with sides which may not be
perpendicular to each other for shapes not conforming to rectangle or square shall not be paid

placing 2 NOS. 6mm dia bar at every fourth course and anchoring / screwing the same with R.C.C
members, scaffolding, curing, complete as per specification and drawing or as directed by Sqm 1247.00

SUB HEAD IV : TERRACING, WATERPROOFING AND INSULATION WORKS

4.1 Providing and laying composite built up waterproofing in the toilets/ kitchen/ pantry/Terrace
Garden/Planter etc. comprising of three coats of Tapcrete polymer, each coat admixed with cement in
the proportion 1:2 (one part Tapcrete and two parts cement) over a primer coat of neat cement sturry
admixed with impermeable chemical CH-9. After the second coat of Tapcrete, including one layer of fiber
mesh, all corners, edges, joints of pipes with concrete / masonry should be sealed with epoxy putty. The Sqm 42.00
waterproofing treatment is to be laid underneath all sanitary pipes on the base and taken up onto the
verticals upto a level of minimum 300mm above the finished toilet floor level including providing and
fixing of PVC spout with

10mm thick protective plaster 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) over treated surface, curing etc complete.
(Quoted rate to include grouting of RCC surface for any cracks/ fissures and cost of white cement)

4.2 25mm thick water proof cement plaster 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) mixed with water proofing

4.3 Providing and laying crystalline Kryton / Zypax / Unibase / Thermoshield, or equivalent waterproofing
with proprietary chemical mixed as per manufacturer's specifications after cleaning the surface
thoroughly and applying a necessary compatible primer. The waterproofing shall be guaranteed for 15
years in an approved format by the Co. and tested as per directions. Any leakage observed shall be
grouted with pressure grouting using non shrink compound as per approval. The joints shall be treated
with an extra coating and due care as specified by the manufacturer. The method and specifications
shall be submitted with the tender and the procedure explained at site before purchase of material.

4.4 Providing on top of slab surface cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound thereafter providing

and layer of new half broken bricks (coba) giving gaps of 15-20mm between broken bricks, providing
necessary gradient for proper flow of water and providing cement slurry with water proofing compound
spread over brick bat coba in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) with water proofing
compound filled in gaps of broken bricks and 20mm plaster in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse
sand) mixed with polymer based water proofing compound, top finished smooth with neat cement and Sqm 320.00
providing rope chequers including extending the water proof plaster 300mm on vertical surfaces with
necessary chasing / treating of walls including providing and making gola as per drawing etc. Average
thickness of the brick bat coba to be avg. 125mm.

The item also include providing and making khurrahs 450mm x 450mm with average minimum thickness
of 50mm cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate of 20 mm
nominal size) finished with aluminium foil and 12mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and
a coat of neat cement punning , rounding the edges , making and finishing the outlet complete.

4.5 40-50mm guiniting with 1:4 cement sand mortar to the R.C.C. elements, after cleaning the surface off
dust dirt including providing and fixing 100 x 100 x 10G Welded mesh and applying adhesive chemical
Conbond SNA as required complete.

5.1 Providing and applying 12 to 15mm thick plaster to masonry and RCC walls, columns etc. in cement

surfaces, scaffolding, curing, making grooves at desired location etc. complete as per drawing. Sqm 4444.15

5.2 Providing and applying 20 to 25mm thick plaster to masonry and RCC walls, columns etc. in cement
mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 fine and coarse sand in equal proportion) finished smooth including hacking the

5.3 Providing and applying 6mm thick plaster to RCC slab in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine and

5.4 Providing and applying 20 mm thick external cement plaster in two coats under layer 12 mm thick

cement :6 fine sand) including making of grooves, bands, drip coarse as shown in drawing, scaffolding, Sqm 1023.00
