2nd job policy in phase ii. He/She is allowed to further sign limited number of JAFs as per the policy.

November the student is free to sign any number of JAFs. He/She is allowed to further sign certain number of JAFs as per the
policy.
Q. What is the concept of company preference filling before interview?
A. The first 4 days of placement interviews (i.e. 1st Dec to 4th Dec) are divided into 2 slots of 8 hours each.

Slot-1: 8am to 4pm

Slot-2: 6pm to 2am
After first 4 days, there is only one slot for remaining days.
In each slot there are around 10-15 companies coming for taking interviews of students. Hence there is a good possibility of a
student getting shortlisted in more than 1 company in that particular slot. To avoid any last minute hassles, all the students are
asked to rank JAFs in the preference order in the portal itself, before the slot begins.
P.S.: Preference order signifies the order of JAFs in which a student prefers to get a job.
Once the preference order has been freezed, it can’t be changed later. If student is selected in more than 1 JAF in a slot, then
the final job is allotted corresponding to the higher preference of the student.
Q. What is merged slot?
A. Day 1 firms are slotted in 2 slots as described above, but the preference order is taken merging the JAFs for both slots and
the final results are out only when both the slots are over unlike other days where results are declared after each slot.
Q. Do I need to earn incentive points to sign extra JAFs after getting a PPO?
A. No, student is allowed to sign extra JAFs, dependent upon the category & slot of the company giving PPO and not upon
incentive points. Refer to policy to see full bifurcation of number of JAFs allowed to sign corresponding to the category of the
company offering PPO.
Q. I was not able to submit the resume before the deadline, can I submit after deadline?
A. Strict NO. No one is allowed to submit the resume after the deadline. Only in certain situations after approval of professor in
charge the student would be allowed to submit the resume late but would be entitled to heavy penalty, involving debarring the
student from sitting for interviews on Day-1 to Day-3 or more subjected on case to case basis.
Q. How many incentive points are earned by attending a PPT?
A. Attending a PPT doesn’t fetch you any incentive points. But there are certain number of PPTs you need to attend in a week,
failing to do so attract the imposition of penalty points. Exact penalty points imposed can be checked in PPT policy on blog.

A. Yes. The students are expected to inform the PT cell about the possible pre placement offer whether received from a firm
which came through PT cell or not, within 1 day of receiving it. If the student decides to accept it then the PPO policy
(mentioned in placement policy) applies and the student is allowed to participate in the placement process according to the
policy.
Q. Off campus application to a company?
A. The students are strictly forbidden to apply off campus before 30th March 2018. If a student wants to apply to any company
before that then the student is supposed to inform their department placement coordinator about the company they wish to apply
off-campus. Placement cell will try to bring them through campus placement, in case of failure to do so, the student may be

We have given students chance to make 5 different types of resume. They can personalize those resumes according to the
profiles/companies they are targeting. It is absolutely allowed if a student wants to make three 1 page Non-Tech resumes or
three 2 page Tech resume, it is totally upto the student. We have just broadly divided the 5 resumes into parts as described
