Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad invites application from
Indian Citizen for the following Post purely on Temporary basis.

Coaches/Instructors for Inter IIT Consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 per
Sports Meet, National Sports month (depending on qualification & experience, not
Organisation (NSO) and Yoga exceeding Rs. 35,000/- per month) purely on contractual
under Co- Curricular Activities basis for a 10 month term. The term of contract
(CCA) appointments may be subsequently extended for a
spell of 10 months each year depending upon
performance.
Increment: If the period of Contract is extended further,
an annual increment of 5% on the monthly remuneration
shall be admissible.

1. Minimum Qualification (Sl. No.1-12): At least one year diploma in Coaching from SAI, NSNIS
or equivalent OR
Represented India in relevant sports/games at international level with certificate/license in
Coaching from respective Federations/SAI OR
A medal winner 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in State or University at national level with
certificate/license in Coaching/Training from respective Federations/SAI or equivalent.
For Gym Instructor (Sl. No. 13) – Graduation with minimum 2 years of experience in any
gymnasium with bodybuilding background preferably having 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in State or
University at National level.
For Yoga Instructor (Sl. No. 14)- At least one year PG diploma in Yogic Studies or
equivalent with graduation and minimum 2 years of experience
2. Age: Below 40 Years preferably
3. Duty hours: 6 days in a week both morning and evening sessions including involvement in day to
day administrative duties or any other works assigned from time to time. Accommodation may be
provided depending upon availability.
4. Minimum requirement of qualification and age may be relaxed in case of outstanding
candidate(s).

General Terms and Conditions:

i. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis for a period of 10 months
initially, subject to satisfactory performance, at the sole discretion of this Institute.
Any claim for absorption at the regular position in the Institute will not be entertained
at any point of time.
ii. The period of engagement of Coaches/Instructors shall not exceed beyond the age of
70 years.
iii. The Coaches/Instructors shall be eligible for 08 days of Casual leave in a calendar
year. This leave will not be carried forward in case the engagement period is extended
by this Institute. Also, no payment in lieu of unutilized leave will be paid by this
Institute at the time of expiry of contract.
iv. The Institute may terminate the services of the Coaches/Instructors in case he/she is
unable to perform his/her duty to the satisfaction of the Competent Authority.
v. The Institute shall also reserve the right to terminate the services of the
Coaches/Instructors at any time without giving any notice and also without assigning
any reason.
vi. The Coaches/Instructors will be required to attend duty on Saturdays, Sundays and
other Gazetted Holidays or may be asked to attend duty after prescribed duty hours, in
case of exigencies. No extra remuneration will be admissible for the same.
vii. The Coaches/Instructors may continue to draw pension and dearness relief on
pension, if any, during the period of their engagement as Coach(s)/Instructor(s). This
engagement as Coach(s)/Instructor(s) shall not be considered as a case of
re-employment.
viii. No TA/DA shall be admissible to the Coaches/Instructors for joining the assignment.
Coaches/Instructors will not be allowed any foreign travel at Institute’s expenses.
However, he/she may be allowed TA/DA for travel inside the country in connection
with official work assigned to him/her.
ix. The Headquarters of the Coaches/Instructors will be at Dhanbad.
x. Any resultant dispute shall be settled within the jurisdiction of Dhanbad.
