SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Phonic lesson about new sound. The student will be able to know the sound of the letter and now some
new words.

 Who is the lesson for?
The lesson it was about sound /s/
 Where did the lesson take place?
The lesson it was in Sunday morning at 11:00Am
 What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
I was trying to achieve in my lesson to let the students to know the sound /S/ and know some new
words start with the letter.
 What did the students do?
The student was very helpful and they understand the lesson and they enjoy it. Especially the last
activity they enjoy it so much and all students were want to answer.

Analyze (A):
 Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
The way I was teaching the student is like a game and the student didn’t feel board while I teach
the lesson. for example, for explaining some subjects with the sound /s/ and use flash cards.
 How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
The students are already known all phonic but they don’t know the sound of the letter.
 How well did you engage the students?
I engaged the students with using flash cards and asking the students about some words they
already know start with the letter.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

The lesson was understandable and the students enjoy the lesson so much and the activates too. Since it
was the first class of the sound some students weren’t engaging and answering but I tried with them to
assess them. Overall, the lesson succeeded

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
I need to use different strategies of classroom management and use reward system for the students to let
them behave well.
What are the implications for your professional practice?
The classroom management went well and my voice was too clear for the students but I need to work
more in classroom management.
