Learning Feedback Diary

We arrived at Doleres very early. One of the plans of activities is to conduct an

Operation BP within the baranggay. We started off in the near the vicinity of the baranggay
health station. We were given a bag of lanzones by our first client. We were separated in to two
groups. We were conducting the Operation BP near the highway. Once we were at the waiting
shed we turn right. We met many clients there and we were treated very well. They even gave
us 3 bags of rambutan and offered us to drink. The experience was very fulfilling and it was very
fun to do. We had encountered clients that are unrefined like the client that was asked by our
clinical instructor if she wants her BP to be taken and she directly said no. The other one was
not our client but a relative that was also a RN. He told us that we should not be RN because it
will just lead to being a tricycle driver. It was not a very good thing for us to hear because it can
degrade our motivation to be a registered nurse. After the operation BP, we went back to the
health center and waited for the other groups to arrive. We started reviewing for our quiz bee
that was going to be held in the center. The quiz bee was very hard for us because some of the
questions are not familiar to us so we lost.

I have realized many things during my exposure yesterday. One of my realizations is that
people in Dolores, Quezon are very hospitable and friendly. They are also very warm hearted. I
also realize that the man who said that being a registered nurse will just lead to being a tricycle
driver did something wrong to his life that made him that way. I realize that I really need to
review my community health nursing, maternal and child and the IMCI which I had been
realizing for the past few exposures to the community.
