A. INTERVIEW QUESTIONS TOWARD TEACHER’S APPROACH

1. Siapa nama bapak / ibu guru?


2. Apa pendidikan terakhir bapak / ibu guru? PNS atau Non PNS? Sertifikasi atau belum?
3. Berapa lama bapak / ibu guru mengajar di sekolah ini? Apakah bapak / ibu guru memiliki
pengalaman mengajar di sekolah lain?
4. Di kelas berapa bapak / ibu guru mengajar?
5. Berapa jumlah siswa di kelas bapak / ibu guru? Berapa jumlah siswa yang ideal dalam
satu kelas menurut bapak / ibu guru?
6. Kurikulum apa yang digunakan di sekolah ini? Apakah bapak / ibu guru membuat
perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum yang berlaku setiap tahunnya?
7. Bagaimana cara bapak / ibu guru menarik perhatian siswa pada saat memulai pelajaran?
8. Apakah bapak / ibu guru menggunakan pendekatan “students centre learning” dalam
mengajar?
9. Apakah bapak / ibu guru menggunakan media dalam mengajar? Media apa yang bapak /
ibu guru gunakan?
10. Strategi / metode pembelajaran yang bagaimana yang sering bapak / ibu gunakan
dalam proses pembelajaran?
11. Teknik apa yang bapak / ibu guru gunakan untuk mengimplementasikan strategi /
metode tersebut?

paket yang bapak / ibu guru gunakan sesuai dengan yang diinstruksikan oleh

menggunakan buku lain untuk menunjang pembelajaran?

3. Kapan bapak / ibu guru mengadakan penilaian terhadap siswa?
4. Bagaimana bapak / ibu guru mengetahui bahwa penilaian tersebut efektif atau tidak?
5. Menurut bapak / ibu guru, bagaimana penilaian bisa meningkatkan kemampuan siswa
dalam belajar?

Observation list above based on Richard’s explanation about teaching principle to be


a good language learner. From the observation list above, we can conclude that there are 3
principle that the teacher did not do in english teaching process. they are Build student’s self
confidence, Encourage student’s to use right-brain, and The teacher handles the classroom
based on a lesson plan. However, the teacher still apply the rest of the principle.
The teacher did not build student’s self confidence because the students that the
teacher’s taught still in the 1st grade of elementary school. The teacher also did not handle
the classroom based on a lesson plan because the teacher should teach situationally.
However, the students still enjoy the class and follow all the instruction of their teacher in
learning process.
