for admissions.

maysubmitrequestsfor reconsiderationto theconcemedRegionalOfficeof the Council
alongwitha fee of Rs.40.0004in theformof DD drawnin favourof "MemberSecretary,
AICTP payabteat New
Delhi.

(d) The requestsfor reconsideration submiftedby the Applicantshallbe forwardedby the concernedRegional
Officeto AICTEHeadquarters within15daysof receipt.The Councrlmay decideto deputean Expertvisrting
committeefor verifyingthe claimsmadeby the ApplicantSociety/Trust, whoserecommendations shal be
placedbeforetheHearingCommittee andsubsequently beforetheViceChairman/Chairman of theCouncrr.
(e) Howeverthe ApplicantInstitution onlyonce.Incasethe proposalis

6.2.8 In case the ApplicantSociety/Trustdisputesthe decisionof the Councilit may appealany time and
the appeal shall be heard by an AppellateCommitteeconstitutedby the ChairmanAICTE from

6.2.9 Caseswhere approvalis deniedon the recommendations of the Appellatecommitteedue to non-


fulfillmentof norms,& standardsand conditionsas are stipulatedby the Council,groundsof denial
shall be communicatedto the concernedApplicantlnstitution.

9.15 ExcessAdmission

Excessadmissionsover the sanctionedintakeshallnot be allowedunderany circumstances. In case any


excessadmissionis reportedto the Council,appropriate

9.16 PenaltyClause

Thoseinstituteswho have not submittedcompliancereportby 31 August2006 (forthe grantof extensionof


approval for theacademicyear2007-08)afteraddressingthedulypointedoutdeficienciesin theirrespective
