NEHBA SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING

JUNE 23, 2018

The semi-annual meeting opened with a roll call being completed all member clubs were
represented except Merrimack and Thornton who were unexcused. A discussion ensued with
Tony Roderick motioning and seconded by Jerry Carreau to wave the non-attendance fees for
these clubs, passed unanimously

President-

Treasurer Report-

Current balance is $1,783.20, the report was read and accepted with a motion by D. Bower and
Bob Sousa

Secretary Report-

Minutes from Annual meeting were read and accepted with a motion by Doug Bower and
seconded by Bubba Sousa

Field Trial Secretary-

n/a

Committee Report-

Points and the way they are awarded was discussed, didn’t go over well and will mostly likely
stay the way they are. Doug discussed the need for a by-law change.

Lycoming club did a great job of hosting the Fed Trial.

Adam K- suspension in regard to suspension will stand after he presented to the board at
federation

NEHBA was well represented at the Fed trial.

New Business-

Good & Welfare-

-Doug discussed kids’ trial and thanked the committee for their work

-New president at Plainville, now is the time to join if a beagle, also will hold a Lic but held at Bay State

-Tri-county is working on club and getting back up and running, looks good

-Doug- discussed a text from Mr. Wohler in regard to having a Gundog Brace.

-Discussed being a member in good standing Tony, Tippy and Marshall

Marshall can follow appeal process

-Mike Santos discussed association image with a very engaging conversation pursuing. Mike states the
portrayed image is the folks of the NEHBA are seen to be to clicky. Doug Bower disagreed and voiced his
view that it wasn’t.

-Mike Santos discussed the idea of gaining new members for both clubs and ultimately the Association.
What can we do as an Association to change perception and in turn raise memberships?
