Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.
● We have worked on the Technology Plan as our school district and included
all parties that are included in this scenario. We gathered a committee who
leads the plan but we also get input from other stakeholders. Our major role is
to have a technology plan that would allow all stakeholders use technology
effectively. We aim to have this plan as flexible as possible due to
technology’s ever-changing nature.
● Citation: Wells, Christopher W.(2010), Smarter Clicking: School Technology Policies
That Work!
Author mentions that it’s everybody’s responsibility to be a part of technology
plan and the application of it. Regardless of who you are, principal, teacher,
parent or student, you are expected to be comfortably using the technology.

● This research paper clearly shows that collaboration is necessary.

● We have collected some technology plans from the schools that have been more
experienced that us and we also visited other schools in the area to note down best
practices to utilize in the future.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.

The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools.

Question: Do the teachers have access to instructional technology on a daily

basis?
Answer: Yes, there are smart boards in each classroom and teachers are able to
use them.

Question: Are the teachers trained to most effectively use the smart boards?
Answer: Yes, they are trained. However, there are still some teachers who are
not confident enough to use smart boards in the best possible way.
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of
digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.

Question: Do the students have access to technology on a daily basis?

Answer: Yes, they are. There are smart boards in each classroom that allows
them to get the education through a variety of different techniques.

Question: Do the students most effectively use the technology?

Answer: They are capable of using but they are not given the tools often enough,
which would make learning more effective and enduring. Therefore, our school’s
technology plan developers consider making technology more accessible.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.

Question: What type of technology items can be used o improve the quality of
education?
Answer: A small committee will be formed within the Technology Plan Team
whose sole responsibility is to check all technology resources and find out which
ones would work best at our school.
To start with, they will make a financial plan to purchase clickers, Ipads, and
some online tools that need to be purchased school wide in order to support our
students’ education such as IXL.

Question: Does the Technology Plan Team offer reasonable reasons to make a
financial plan for all the plans they come up with?
Answer: My school is in Jakarta, Indonesia. Students need to take a national
exam at the end of the year, which will determine their acceptance into most
selective universities of Indonesia. It would be beneficial for the students to be
assisted for their National Exam through a variety of applications that are
available.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.

Question: Will the students have internet at all times at school?

Answer: No, it will definitely be bound with some regulations that the committee
will announce as soon as any technology item is made available to the students.

Question: Are the students trained to be most responsibly use the technology in
the class?

Answer: No, not yet, as they are just using the smart boards at the moment.
Internet safety is top priority as we do not want our students face the negative
effect of the internet such as cyberbullying. Students will be trained to most
effectively and responsibly use the tools that will be provided.
