INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEA’s use of education technology for the next three
years.
List specific start and end dates (7/1/xx to 6/30/xx). Provide a brief overview of
the LEA, its location and demographics and/or share a link to the LEA’s website.

Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.
● We have worked on the Technology Plan as our school district and included
all parties that are included in this scenario. We gathered a committee who
leads the plan but we also get input from other stakeholders. Our major role is
to have a technology plan that would allow all stakeholders use technology
effectively. We aim to have this plan as flexible as possible due to
technology’s ever-changing nature.
● Citation: Wells, Christopher W.(2010), Smarter Clicking: School Technology Policies
That Work!
Author mentions that it’s everybody’s responsibility to be a part of technology
plan and the application of it. Regardless of who you are, principal, teacher,
parent or student, you are expected to be comfortably using the technology.
Question: Are the teachers trained to most effectively use the smart boards?
Answer: Yes, they are trained. However, there are still some teachers who are
not confident enough to use smart boards in the best possible way.
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of
digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
Answer: Yes, they are. There are smart boards in each classroom that allows
them to get the education through a variety of different techniques.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
Question: What type of technology items can be used o improve the quality of
education?
Answer: A small committee will be formed within the Technology Plan Team
whose sole responsibility is to check all technology resources and find out which
ones would work best at our school.
To start with, they will make a financial plan to purchase clickers, Ipads, and
some online tools that need to be purchased school wide in order to support our
students’ education such as IXL.
Question: Does the Technology Plan Team offer reasonable reasons to make a
financial plan for all the plans they come up with?
Answer: My school is in Jakarta, Indonesia. Students need to take a national
exam at the end of the year, which will determine their acceptance into most
selective universities of Indonesia. It would be beneficial for the students to be
assisted for their National Exam through a variety of applications that are
available.
Question: Are the students trained to be most responsibly use the technology in
the class?
Answer: No, not yet, as they are just using the smart boards at the moment.
Internet safety is top priority as we do not want our students face the negative
effect of the internet such as cyberbullying. Students will be trained to most
effectively and responsibly use the tools that will be provided.
Question: Does the administration of the school support the Technology Plan
team?
Answer: Yes, they do. They are in favor of the having more students go to better
universities. Therefore, they assist the idea of utilizing technology.
Question: Are the teachers ready to implement the technology tools that the
Technology Plan Team has decided to purchase for school?
Answer: Not all of them. Teachers will be trained in professional development
days. Teachers will be required to use all tools available to the students’ use and
encourage the students to use them by giving them assignments that need to be
submitted through technology.
Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
Answer: The national test scores can be collected and watched to see if there’s a
desired increase in the averages.
Students and parents will be given questionnaires to provide feedback about the
effectiveness of the tools we use.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
Question: How and how often will you share the results with each stakeholder
Answer: The evaluation will be shared with each stakeholder each semester
through Google forms asking him or her their feedback as well. This way we can
have a holistic view of the situation.
