By the end of the teaching practice, I will use clear instructions and demonstrations/ modelling to introduce classroom
tasks with increasing accuracy.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
Show them examples of the activity to know if the children understand, ask them question after each explanation. Also,
I will see if they are engaging with the activities or not.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
I will use formative assessment after each lesson and chick students understand the lesson or not. In addition, while I
teaching them I will use happy/sad faces to assess them while they listen to me and after each activity.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

I will open the PowerPoint presentation and I will explain the LOC for the lesson (I do, you watch). I will ask some
previous question about last lesson in multiplication and rounding. ( what you know about rounding? / how we can
multiply two digit number by using rounding?)

I will be reminding them about the place values because it related to rounding numbers and I will ask them (which
value/digit we will work with it if we want numbers nearest tens?) because the lesson focus on multiply two digit
numbers by two digit numbers but here they will use rounding. Also, I will use the number line and I will choose some
students to come on the board and pick one number after that they will answer by rounding it, After that I will start
to tell them about the lesson and I will explain the first example on the PowerPoint presentation. I will ask them

I will explain the strategies that they can use to solve. After that I will choose one student to come and solve on the

Remembering level:

What is the numbers rounding up? ( the number that give 1 to add ) they should answer 5,6,7,8,9.

What is the numbers rounding by stay in there place? They should answer 0,1,2,3,4

Understanding level:

why we use rounding? Did you think the rounding make the questions come easier? Why? ( they should answer the
ZERO make the multiplying question easier because any number multiplying by zero give answer zero)

Where we can use rounding? (they may answer we use rounding to guess counting of something, give the nearest
number to come clear)

Write a real example from your life that you should use rounding ? ( I will give them example also in the class while I
teaching the example is “ if I want to buy from market a bag fries and it is cost 18 AED. And I have 10 and 20 Dirhams
in my bag so should I give he 20 dirhams or 10 dirhams.
Independent Experience (small group activity 1) 4 or 3 students, (you do, I help).

Activity 1: the student will work as 3 or 4 students together and, in each group, will have wood stick and cubs and
worksheet.

The student must choose wood stick and sort it in cubs that give them the rounding answer. For example, if the
student choose wood stick with number 43 they have to put it in 40 cub (fine motor skills). They will write the
numbers and make a multiply question and answer the questions.

Student should choose after answering if the rounding number is bigger or smaller than the numbers they take it out
from wood stick.

In this activity the student will make the question like if they are playing with wood stick and cubs to round the
numbers so, they will have fun with it. I will walk around them and ask them question how they solve it or if the
activity is clear for them?

Independent Experience (small group activity 2) induvial work - (colouring groups ‘ red,low’ ‘blue,middle’
‘green,high’) , (you do, I watch).

Activity 2: in this activity each student will have a worksheet they have to solve the question independently. Each
student will a worksheet according to their levels.

For the students in red group they will have work sheet with two question they have to solve it. I put for them a
number line to make for them easier while they want to round the number. Also, they have to choose if the rounding
number is bigger or small than number in the questions.

For the students in blue group they have worksheet with two multiply question and they must round the numbers.
Also, they must choose if the rounding number is bigger or small than number in the questions. Moreover, they have
a text questions they must think and write.

For the students in green group they have worksheet with two multiplying question and they will round the numbers
after that they will answer. In addition, they have text question and the last question is challenging question they
must know the rounding numbers for the answer that I write for them. For example, 2000=___×______ ,so here they
have to write two numbers give that answer.

- I will choose some student to talk about what we learn today (small teacher)

- For assess them while I explain the lesson and finish from each part I will ask them to raise a happy face for
understanding and sad face for non-understand.
