Overview of the lesson:
Starting off the lesson is extremely important to help students learn the routine and get their day
started.
Establish the rules for all students before each lesson, this reminds them to behave and it can
elevate some behavior problems. Make sure you know the songs for transitions and if your show a
video know all of the words and action of the video. When a teacher knows the song and video
this helps because it vital to be prepared. When you are just standing there it appears that you are
not organized, not prepared, and looked confused.
Vital information and pointers for children in your class:
 Make sure you know their names and if not make name tags.
 If you can’t remember their names, when doing attendance have them say their name and
count slowly these are tips to help you.
 When saying the Doaa have all students cuff their hands.
 When saying the days of the week do not just randomly say the days say the day ask what
day it is and ask the past day or the future day.
 When counting evaluate some children with questions about the class attendance.
 Call upon all students.

Introduction:

Bashayer stared her lesson with revision about the living and the non-living, I like that you had big clear
pictures on the board and you started questioning if the picture presenting living and non-living.
However, you should’ve discuss about the meaning of each term before this activity. as a follow up,
you had a little activity about categorizing living and non-living picture it was a lovely activity, very age
appropriate and you were roaming and monitoring the students closely, well-done!
During the activity, you need to either rise your voice or use and voices to grab student’s attention like
bell. As students were speaking highly and most of them did not follow what you were asking them to
do. I liked that you asked the students to go back to their tables to clean up and come back. This shows
your professionalism and classroom management. However, when you asked Ali Hassan to go back to
his place and he did not you grabbed him toughly!! This is not acceptable. Moreover, coming back from
the activities to the carpet was a chaos. You have to try out other strategies to grab children’s attention
other than shouting. Try singing, closing the lights and open them or remaining quit until they behave.

Lesson:
You explained the parts of the plant in three minutes only. However, it was obvious that children had
a prior idea about the lesson. You should’ve, explain the lesson in different ways to insure that every
student understands the lesson. Moreover, the lesson did not match the lesson plan.
During the activity, you kept working closely with the students, I liked that you have the plant parts
drown on the board so students can refer to it when they straggle. Throughout the lesson, you used
different strategies to praise good work, you should do the same to manage their behavior.

Assessment:
Your lesson was missing an assessment as the time was up.

Areas for development:

 classroom management

Focus for next lesson:

 Material of the activities.
