human remains or violation of the law. Students will study crimes such as murder, sexual offenses,
robbery, assault, abuse, prostitution, pornography, arson, terrorism, burglary, substance abuse, and other

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE STUDENT SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY

I understand that it is my sole responsibility to conduct myself in a professional and ethical

manner. I will do this by upholding the East Central Independent School District motto of:

WE ARE SAFE! WE ARE RESPECTFUL! WE ARE RESPONSIBLE!

WE ARE EC!

Additionally, Safety will be conducted by modifying the hands on lessons in an attempt to keep
from injuries occurring. For example, foot pursuit; rather than having a student chase another student, the
exercise will be modified for one student to run thru a flat obstacle (traffic cone course) course and at the
end be able to identify and “arrest” the “suspect” (Student role players)

As well as the demonstration of pressure points, this will be demonstrated, but not practiced at full
or real speed. This is a training environment and the number one goal is to have no injuries.

By signing, you understand that horseplay will result in after school detention with the instructor
and assigned a writing assignment about your actions and how you should conduct yourself in the future.
You may be required to write from the student handbook, the policy of that which you did not follow.
