 I will start by showing the students a song about
addition to warm them up for the lesson.

 At the circle time I will revise with them the
previous knowledge as they learned about Mr.Plus
and Mr.Equal (addition).

Guided experience ( whole group activity ) language instructions

1. In the circle time before starting I will ask the students to read (Surat Alfatiha)
a. I will say: Before we start we should read Quran and they will start reading.

2. Next I will play the warming up song, it’s about counting and numbers to warm up the
students so they can have an idea about the lesson.

3. I will start the lesson by asking the students: (What is addition? \ What do you know about
it?) The students already know what’s addition and they know some information about it.

4. I will put some flashcards on the board that has Mr. Plus (Plus sign) and Mr. Equal (Equal
sign). I will say : Mr. Plus’s job is to add or combine numbers together and Mr. Equal’s job
is to count the whole numbers together and to get the final answer.

5. I will write some math sentences on the board and I will ask some students to give me the
answer and I will write it on the board.

6. I will explain each activity and I will divide the students depending on their levels to the
activities.
Individual experience - Small Group Learning Centers: Time: Approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
