Curious Candies
Observations
1) Each person in your group should come up and get one bag of candy.
Work with your group write down everything you observe about the candy. Use all your senses
(except taste) and note the physical properties of the candy.
Draw a picture of the outside of the candy. Also, take apart the candy and draw the layers.
Describe what you see.
1)Fill a small beaker with room temperature water and place in a candy.
2)Time how long it takes for all the outer coating of the candy to disappear.
3)Start the time when the candy enters the water. The time should stop when you either, see
no more coating or see no more color coming off the candy.
4) Do 5 trials for each color. Make sure to get new water for each trial.
Record your data and observation on the next page.
