Declarative Knowledge

From memory, fifth-grade students at John Steinbeck Elementary School will be able to

recite the 50 states of the United States of America with 80% accuracy.

Concepts

Given a protractor, sixth-grade students at Washington Middle School will be able to

classify the triangles as an isosceles, equilateral, scalene, or right triangle with a maximum of

three errors.

Principles

Given a density chart of each object, fourth-grade students at Monroe Elementary School

will be able to explain why the ten objects will sink or float in the water with 80% accuracy.

Procedures

Given an instruction sheet and vehicle owner’s manual, employees at the tire shop will be

able to change a tire with 100% accuracy.

Problem Solving

Given the Nursing handbook, nurses at Venice Hospital will plan care for the patients

with a customer satisfaction report of a 9.0 or better on a 10.0 scale.

Cognitive Strategies

Given the reading strategies sheet, first-grade students at Steinbeck Elementary will use

at least 2 of reading strategies when decoding unknown words with 100% accuracy.

Attitudes
