This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the degree of
MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION major in MUSIC EDUCATION
Miss Elvina Wilson is under the tutelage of Prof. Jewel Bitco-Solidum
The Artist
Elvina Lyna Wilson, also known as Bibie among friends and
family is the first child of Mr. Wilson Rojiin and Mrs.
Salasiah Minsil from the Land Below the Wind, Sabah, East
Malaysia. Born in an active family, her exposure to music

began at an early age especially when she started taking
College of Education
piano lessons from a local teacher back home. Other than piano, she also plays the cello.
Singing, on the other hand, was once just a hobby. Proper voice lessons were never taken
before. Well, at least not until she joined AUP. Center for Graduate Studies & Department of Music

To be a great musician, as well as an astounding singer, is her biggest dream. That Presents
'journey' began when in October, 2011 after much prayer and support from family and
friends she landed in the Philippines eager yet uncertain of what may be the window to a
whole new adventure to realize that dream she once only dreamt about. She was
immediately enrolled into the music course, majoring in voice and taking up piano and cello
as minors under the Bachelor of Music Education degree.

Elvina Lyna Wilson


In 2015, she graduated Cum Laude with the degree in Bachelor of Music
Education emphasis in voice and is currently finishing her Master of Arts in Education
Major in Music Education at AUP. Music, according to Elvina, is one of her channel to be
actively involved in many of the church activities. Music propels her to serve, to touch
hearts and to inspire others.

In April of 2015, her experience increased as she submitted herself into service Soprano
and joined the Alumni of AUP music majors to Cebu for the first CLVC Music camp and
Sabah wide music camp at Sabah Malaysia in July 2018 as one of the instructor. Her in a
interest and passion in music brought her to different countries. Her performances brought
her to Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea and back home to Malaysia. Here in
the Philippines, she had the opportunity to perform in venues and events such as Philamlife
Auditorium, Insular Life and Paulinian Music Festival. In AUP, she was formerly a part of
AUP and PIC Orchestra along with AUP String Ensemble as a cellist not forgetting that she
was also a member of the Music Major Chorale, AUP Ambassadors batch 2014 and
MASSA chorale as a soprano.
Graduation Recital
Elvina owes her musical and vocal development to Prof. Dante Oblimar, her first
voice teacher who trained her for 4 years. Apart from that Prof. Oblimar stood not only as
her guide but also a supporter who truly believed in her abilities which in turn nurtured her
and encouraged her to be the person she is today. She also studied for one semester with
Mrs. Dorothy O. De Leon.

At present, she serves as a voice teacher in AUP Music Department as graduate
assistant. She will be graduating in Master of Arts in Education under the tutelage of Prof. November 25, 2018
Jewel Solidum - a patient, loving and dedicated professor who has ensured that Elvina
continues to excel in what she loves most. Thursday, 7:30 PM
