STANDARD WORDING OF A STANDBY L/C FOR CREDIT BACKING FACILITIES

TO BE GRANTED BY BBVA BANCO CONTINENTAL (SWIFT: BCON PEPL )

By order and for account of _____________ we open our irrevocable and

unconditional standby letter of credit N° ____________ in favor of BBVA Banco
Continental for an amount not exceeding USD ______________.

This stand by letter of credit is available by payment at sight, against your first
payment demand by authenticated Swift message or tested telex reading:

Quote

Credit facilities extended by us to __________________, have matured and despite

our demand of payment, the same remain unpaid. Unquote

We hereby agree with you that your authenticated Swift message or tested telex
drawn under and in compliance with the terms of this stand by letter of credit will be
honour automatically without any objection whatsoever within 48 hours of reception
of your message, if received by us on or before ________________. We will cover
you according to your instructions.

In case payment is not made within the term of 48 hours of your claim, we hereby
undertake solidarity to reimburse the charges you may incur in collecting the above
mentioned Standby Letter of Credit.

This Letter of Credit is subject to the “Uniform Custom and Practice for Documentary
Credits, Pub. 600.

This is the operative instrument. No mail confirmation will follow.

CARTA DE CREDITO STANDBY PARA FACILIDADES CREDITICIAS A SER
OTORGADAS POR EL BANCO CONTINENTAL ( SWIFT : BCON PE PL )

Por medio de la presente, emitimos nuestra carta de crédito standby irrevocable e

incondicional N° ____________ a favor del Banco Continental por orden y cuenta de
_____________ y hasta por la suma de USD ________________.

La presente Carta de Crédito es disponible a la vista y será pagadera a su primera

demanda por télex testado o Swift autenticado con el texto siguiente:

Las facilidades crediticias que extendimos a favor de ______________ han vencido

y a pesar de nuestros requerimientos de pago, permanecen sin haber sido pagadas.
Unquote

Por medio de la presente, convenimos con ustedes en que su demanda de pago por
télex testado o Swift autenticado, emitido de conformidad con los términos de esta
carta de crédito stand by, será honrada en forma automática sin ninguna objeción,
dentro de las 48 horas de recepción de su mensaje si el mismo es recibido por
nosotros antes o hasta el _________. Les pagaremos de acuerdo a sus
instrucciones.

En caso de no efectuar el pago dentro del plazo de 48 horas de recibido su reclamo,

nos comprometemos solidariamente a reembolsarles el importe de los gastos en que
incurran para la cobranza de la presente Carta de Crédito Stand by.

El presente crédito está sujeto a las Reglas y Usos Uniformes para los Créditos
Documentarios, Publicación 600 de la CCI.

El presente es el instrumento operativo. No habrá confirmación postal.
