The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuß Eisen und Stahl (Steel
and Iron Standards Committee), Technical Committee Hohlprofile.

Amendments
DIN 59411, July 1978 edition, has been superseded by the specifications of EN 10219-2. The scope of the
standard has been extended to cover circular sections of diameters 21,3 to 1 219 mm (cf. table 6). Speci-
fications for concavity and convexity have been included.
