Software Installation
The software installation must be performed in the following sequence.
Connections
1) Connect one end of the analog video cable to your analog camera and the other
end to the analog input on the DFG/1394 (COMP1, COMP2 or SVHS). Note that
the COMP1 / COMP2 connectors provide a tight connection, so make sure that
the cable is pushed firmly into the connector.
2) Connect one end of the FireWire cable to your PC and the other end to the 6-pin
FireWire connector on the rear of the DFG/1394 marked "IN - FIRE 1".

Important You will not need to attach a power supply into receptacle marked "Power" on the
DFG/1394 converter. However, if you are using a laptop PC, you must provide power
to the FireWire bus (i.e., use the OSIS laptop FireWire kit). The green LED will flash
if power is supplied to the FireWire bus.
3) Immediately after you connect the DFG/1394 to your computer's FireWire Port,
you will see the following messages. Simply choose the defaults as indicated
below:

Configuration of the DFG/1394 -
" Now, the DFG/1394 hardware drivers are installed and the device is read
to use.
5) Choose the video format and video norm (NTSC / PAL) settings that correspond
with the analog camera you are interfacing with. The dialog box above displays
the most common settings.
6) Choose the input channel that corresponds with the analog input you are using
on the DFG/1394 device (COMP1 / COMP 2 / SVHS).
When an analog signal is detected, the Signal detected sensor illuminates
green. If no analog input is detected, the sensor will illuminate red.
7) Once the Signal detected sensor illuminates green, you are ready to capture
images from your analog device.
8) Additional controls and settings are available through the other tabs located on
the Configure Input dialog box.
Further, you can adjust camera settings from the conventional Camera Control
dialog box. You can also calibrate the DFG/1394 input channel.
