State of Utah
vs.
Affidavit of Probable Cause
YUTANA EKACHINDA
Date of Birth: 11/02/1974
Arrestee
On 11/02/2018 18:30 the defendant was arrested for the offense(s) of:
I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
On November 2, 2018 employees of Zions Bank in Salt Lake County called 911 to report that two suspects were
at the location attempting to cash a forged check with a counterfeit Utah ID. Yutana Ekachinda was the
passenger in the vehicle involved and detained for drug paraphernalia observed in plain view which included
glass pipes, a melted pen tube and small plastic 1x1 baggies. While investigating the check fraud a brand new
X-Box and Lenovo laptop, still in the box, were discovered and found to be stolen. The combined value of the
items is greater than $1,500. Post-Miranda Yutana acknowledged buying the items from a known drug user who
frequently steals items and should have known they were stolen.
I declare under penalty of perjury and under the laws of the State of Utah that the foregoing is true and correct.
