ONE SAMPLE T TEST

The one-sample t-test is used to determine whether a sample comes from a population with a
specific mean. This population mean is not always known, but is sometimes hypothesized.

The One-Sample Test table reports the result of the one-sample t-test. The top row provides the
value of the known or hypothesized population mean with which we are comparing our sample
data to.
Table consists of t-value, the degrees of freedom , and p-value of the one-sample t-test.

Ho: There is no mean difference in employee salary


Ha: There is a mean difference in employee salary
Here p < .05 i.e., p = .000.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the population means are statistically significantly different.
