Razan al-Najjar

Razan al-Najjar was an amazing real life hero. She sacrificed herself in
order to help the people of Palestine. Her full name was Razan Ashraf Abdul
Qadir al-Najjar. She was born in 1997.
Razan al-Najjar lived in the town of Khuza’a. She was the eldest child of
six siblings. She was a Palestinian nurse and had dedicated her life in helping
people who were injured and wounded by the Israeli Defense Force.
Razan al-Najjar volunteered as a member of the medical team at the
Israel-Gaza border. She treated people who were shot by the Israeli soldiers
and brought them to the nearest hospital. Even though it was dangerous,
Razan al-Najjar was still very brave and willing to sacrifice herself.
On 1 June 2018, Razan al-Najjar was shot in the chest while trying to
help the injured people. Although she was wearing a white medical jacket and
had raised her arms to show that she had no weapons, the Israeli soldier still
shot her.
Razan al-Najjar was immediately brought to the hospital after she was
shot. The doctors tried very hard but they did not manage to save her. She
died at the young age of 21 years old.
Razan al-Najjar’s death made people realized that we should always help
people in need. We must never be selfish to others. Anyone can become a real
life hero.
