ABSTRAK

Kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji kesan penggunaan bahan multimedia interaktif dalam
proses pembelajaran dan pemudahcaraan terhadap murid tingkatan dua subjek Kemahiran
Hidup (teknikal) dalam daerah Kubang Pasu, Kedah. Reka bentuk kajian menggunakan
eksperimen kuasi melibatkan kaedah kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Kaedah kuatitatif
menggunakan soal selidik. Sampel kajian melibatkan 160 orang pelajar tingkatan dua di
lapan buah sekolah menengah yang terdiri daripada kumpulan konvensional dan
kumpulan multimedia. Kaedah kualitatif temu bual melibatkan enam orang sampel. Data
dianalisis untuk mendapatkan dapatan menggunakan perisian “Statistical Package of the
Social Sciences (SPSS)”. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan kaedah statistik deskriptif
pemboleh ubah kajian iaitu berdasarkan demografi jantina dan pemilikan komputer.
Kajian ini meibatkan Ujian-t dan Ujian Korelasi Pearson. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan
terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan terhadap pengetahuan multimedia, motivasi dan
interaksi berdasarkan kumpulan murid. Selain itu, terdapat kesan yang signifikan antara
kumpulan murid terhadap pemboleh ubah pengetahuan multimedia dan interkasi.
Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan multimedia dengan motivasi,
pengetahuan multimedia dengan interaksi, dan interaksi dengan motivasi. Terdapat dua
tema hasil daripada temu bual iaitu punca-punca murid lebih berminat belajar sekiranya
guru menggunakan bahan multimedia interaktif semasa proses pembelajaran dan
pemudahcaraan dan impak sekiranya guru menggunakan bahan multimedia interaktif
semasa proses pembeajaran dan pemudahcaraan. Kesimpulan daripada kajian mendapati
penggunaan bahan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran dan pemudahcaraan
terhadap murid tingkatan dua Kemahiran Hidup (teknikal) telah memberikan kesan
kepada pengetahuan multimedia, motivasi dan interaksi murid dan telah meningkatkan
keberkesanan pembelajaran dan pemudahcaraan.

THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA MATERIALS
IN LEARNING AND FACILITATING OF FORM TWO
LIFE SKILLS STUDENTS

ABSTRACT

This study aims to investigate the effects of using interactive multimedia materials in the
learning and facilitating process of form two technical subjects in Kubang Pasu district,
Kedah. The design of the study using quasi experiments involves quantitative and
qualitative methods. Strictitative methods use questionnaires. The sample of the study
involved 160 form two students in eight secondary schools consisting of conventional
groups and multimedia groups. The qualitative method of interview involves six samples.
The data were analyzed to get the findings using the "Statistical Package of the Social
Sciences" (SPSS) software. The analysis was done using the descriptive statistics of study
variables based on gender demographic and computer ownership. This study involves
Pearson Correlation and T-test. The findings showed that there were significant
differences in multimedia knowledge, motivation and interaction based on student
groups. Additionally, there was a significant effect between the student group on the
variables of multimedia knowledge and interaction. There is a significant relationship
between multimedia knowledge with motivation, multimedia knowledge with interaction,
and interaction with motivation. This study identified two themes from the interviews
that students are more interested in learning if teachers use interactive multimedia
materials during the learning and facilitating process and impact if teachers use
interactive multimedia materials during the learning and grading process. The conclusion
from the study found that the use of interactive multimedia material in learning and
facilitating the form two students Living Skills (technical) has affected the multimedia
knowledge, motivation and student interaction and has improved the effectiveness of
learning and facilitating.
