There are many fun and unique ways you can host your own Alice in Wonderland tea
party without breaking the bank. Here are a few suggestions to get the creative ideas
flowing.

• If you have a Facebook account, send an invite electronically under the events
category. Select a fun Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland picture for a special
touch. This is an easy way to keep track of who is coming once they reply.
• If you want to keep it old school, send an invitation shaped like a tea bag, tea pot,
or rabbit. Inside, remind guests not to be late for a very important date, as stated
repeatedly by the rabbit.
Decorations
• Your table is the most important aspect of your tea party. Start with a tablecloth
full of fun colors. Have all different types of teapots, mismatched tea cups, etc.
Go to your local thrift store to find cheap teacups and other items to light up your
table. Many people donate teacups and such that are no longer a set, just what you
are looking for!
• Decorate your house with cheap plastic flamingos (available at most home
improvement stores).
• For centerpieces, put red and white roses in teacups surrounding the table. To add
an extra touch, put a paintbrush in the arrangement as well.
Food and Drinks

• Ηο λ δ ι ν γ α Μα δ Ηα τ τ ε ρ ∋ σ Τεα Πα ρ τ ψ
• Attach labels with "eat me" or "drink me" on items on the table such as the teapot,
sugar bowl, cups, etc. Another alternative would be to write this in frosting on
cupcakes, cookies, or other treats.
• Have a variety of different teas or customize a special teabag for each guest with a
reason you chose it just for them.
Costumes
• Making a Mad Hatter hat is inexpensive compared to the prices some Tim Burton
versions are going for. Buy a plastic top hat and cover the hat with material
matching the Mad Hatter's. Attach the material with Tacky Glue or any type of
fabric clue. For inspiration, search Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.
• Again, the thrift store is a great place to find things cheap and turn them into a
costume.
Games
• Play "paint the roses red." Go to your local Walmart or Michaels and buy white
roses and red markers. The person who finishes coloring the rose red first wins or
set a time limit. Decide on a fun gift for the winner (a ticket to the movie is a good
idea).
• Play truth or dare with a "contrawise" theme, meaning people will ask a question
and answer the opposite of the real answer.
